- Top 10 Most Popular Recipes of 2025 (from the recipes posted just this year!)
- Top 4 Mel’s Favorite Recipe Picks of 2025 (because my personal favorites don’t always line up with the analytics)

Mel,
It is hard to choose a favorite recipe when every single one is a hit! I canto tell you how much I love your website recipes and your cookbook. Those lemon blueberry scones are legendary.
Thank you so much, Stella!
Oh my goodness, I forgot one! Possibly my most favorite I tried this year was the banoffee pie. So, so good! I don’t even like bananas that much but I loved this pie!
Yay!
My favorite new-for-me recipes I tried this year were the no knead peasant bread and the ginger molasses cookies!! Both were awesome! I thought the cookies tasted even better the next day and loved how soft and chewy they are. The ones I typically make over and over again are the giant chocolate chip cookie, yum yum bowls, the lemon garlic chicken marinade.. others too. The hot cocoa cookies are on my list to make some time this winter though!
Thanks for including a list of your favorites, Jacelyn -and I’m glad you discovered some new favorites this year. Thanks for being here!
Sweet spicy sticky chicken is a favorite around here. And your buttery pull apart Bundt bread. And giant cookie.
Happy to know those are some of your favorites!
I think my favorite thing I ate from your site this year was Korean beef bowls. EVERYONE is excited for that even though we eat it regularly. Your cookbook would be perfect if it included that one more dish. Strangely, the only top recipe I think I have made is the French bread and it deserves to be #1.
Oh wait, I made the cranberry orange loaf (my kids were not excited when I gave 2/3 loaves away) and I do love your fish taco. I may need to try the tenderloin again but it didn’t get the usual reception when I cook your recipes. And the Asian salad. Phew. Still need to try those others ones!
Thanks for weighing on the recipes you’ve made, Tori!
Our favorite of the year was the Slow Cooker Italian Beef sandwiches. My husband raved about them, and I heard him telling his sister. We toasted the buns and served with provolone. We did, however, make this into a freezer meal first, then thawed and cooked in the slow cooker. So tender and delicious.
So happy you loved that recipe, Barb!
What fun lists!! Seriously how does one choose a favorite Mel recipe?? There’s so many! Impossible to pick just one.
Sometimes the simplest most unsuspecting recipe is just perfect and in the last two months I’ve made Christmas Cranberry Salad 4 times. Twice for my family and twice to take. The bowl comes home empty with recipe requests. Such a delicious side.
Even the little ones gobble it up!
And a shout out for confetti corn, all your bread recipes, all swig cookies recipes and skillet summer squash lasagna!!
I agree about the simplest recipes sometimes being the best. Thanks for sharing your favorites, Eileen!
I love these lists! I’ve made several of these recipes, but I would say the recipes that gained the most traction this year in our house were Buddha Bowls (a favorite of the sister missionaries), rollup blender pancakes (similar to the cottage cheese ones in this list), and creamy beef and tomato noodle soup (one of the meals my husband likes to prepare). Your recipes are all fantastic! I still want to try the cosmic brownie cookies, but first I need a sugar detox. I tried to convince the kids we could skip the chocolate fondue on New Year’s Eve, but they weren’t having it.
Love the list of recipes you have loved, Laura – thanks for sharing! And, I mean, honestly, I have to agree with your kids, haha.
Great lists! So many of them are favorites. I love that you can joke about the comments section of the mug cookie haha. I think it’s perfectly delicious! Having made both the hot cocoa cookies and cosmic brownie cookies, I can agree that they are both stellar, and deserve to be highlighted! Somehow the cottage cheese pancakes have slid into the “ooo, I want to make those, but somehow haven’t made them yet!” category. Need to fix that pronto. Thanks for an amazing year of amazing recipes!
I hope you love those cottage cheese pancakes if you make them, Kat! Thanks for being here!
How to choose? We made the brown butter chocolate chip cookies almost as soon as they were posted, as well as the cranberry orange bread! Yum! I’ve enjoyed the Bowls you’ve posted this year, especially the Korean Beef and the Ginger Soy Chicken bowls. And the Go-to Best Ground Beef Tacos and Weeknight Spaghetti recipes! And the pumpkin and peppermint bark cheesecakes for the holidays! Oh my! I could go on and on. Thanks Mel for making me a rockstar in the kitchen ❤️❤️❤️
Ah, thanks for sharing your favorites, Carolee! So happy you are here.
Mel,
Your recipes are wonderful, easy, can’t be beat. II have tried many and have not been disappointed. I can always rely on a success with my family. I was told of your website and recipes from a friend. So happy they did!
Thank you so much, Sharie!
Your creamy chicken soup is a constant as soon as we can pretend it is fall, and I am surprised every year that it isn’t in the top ten! We discovered your chopped Greek chicken salad, the one with the pita croutons, this year and then made it every week for at least a month. So many good recipes, thank you!
I’m always surprised, too, Lauren. To be fair, this year, it was #11 so it just barely didn’t make the top 10 cut!
First time commenter here, but I had to share my favorite recipe from this year: Chicken and Rice Soup! I just made it last night, and it almost instantly disappeared! The other 3 times I’ve made it since you published it in Nov I always have had a bowl of leftover soup for breakfast the next day. (No leftovers last night with the college kids home!) Not sure what it is: the dried parsley, the touch of turmeric, how simple it is, or how quickly it comes together? This recipe hits the spot every time. One shredded rotisserie chicken does the trick, too. My 6’4″, hollow-legged, non-veggie eating, 23 year old son commented while eating it last night: Mom, this is so good. It’s actually filling. Soup doesn’t usually fill me up.
Thank you, Mel, for a really great recipe!
Caroline, thanks so much for commenting! I’m so happy you love that simple soup recipe. That made me so happy to read! Yay!
Mississippi Pot Roast is still my fav. But for dessert, I have to say the Blended Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. Thanks for being here and sharing your recipes! Your site is my go-to, always.
Thanks for sharing your favorites, Mary!
I made the salted brown butter chocolate chip cookies in March—the friends I served them to STILL ask for a batch every time I see them. 😂 They are so delicious!!!!!
PS: sour cream banana bread is *the* best way to use too-ripe bananas.
Thanks for another year of great recipes, Mel!!
The question is: do you make them cookies every time they ask? Haha.
I’ve made the slow cooker Mexican beef at least 2x a month
That’s awesome, Diana! So happy you love that recipe!
My absolute favorite made the list! Baked sweet and sour chicken! I love this chicken more than any other chicken recipe in the whole history of chicken recipes. When I know this is what I am making for dinner, the whole day is better. I have pep in my step while I cook. I love to make it, I love to eat it, I love to share it, I love to tell others about it! There are happy sighs of, “mmm, Mel” from around the tabe while eating it. I’m not sure if you can tell, but I love this recipe!!!!
Hahaha, that made me smile. I’m so happy that sweet and sour chicken brings joy to your life, Kellie! Thanks for letting me know!
I have to agree with you about the chicken and veggie fajita bowls! They are SO flavorful— I don’t ever want regular fajitas anymore. This recipe is also a hit when I have the missionaries over for dinner! I like to make it when we have GF missionaries serving in the area because they can customize it for their needs.
I’m so glad you love that one, Rebecca!
The mug cookie comments are giving me life 😂 I’ve made that thing more than any other recipe on your blog, for those moments when I just need something sweet that’s more than a handful of chocolate chips.
I imagine a lot of the commentators were born the week before they tried the recipe, so it just didn’t work out for them 😅
The comments on that recipe never get old, haha. And you may be right. Ha.
So. Many. Recipes. I am honestly surprised at the top 10 for 2025. I love that they are a lot of your tried and true basics – quick and easy dinners (minus the baked sweet and sour chicken 😉 – along with some fun and special desserts. You’ve been my go to for feeding my family of six for the last 10 years. Thanks for all that you do for us <3
Thanks for being here, Michelle!
Mel, I’ve made your Cream Cheese Banana Bread more times than I can count, your Baked Crispy Shrimp Tacos make an appearance at least once a month and are always requested for a special birthday dinner. Sourdough has been a thing here so we’ve been loving the sourdough waffles this year. Cheesecake!!! I am making my way through each one but the Cranberry White Chocolate Mousse is amazing as well as the White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle – which we’ve made several times already! Your food blog is my #1 go-to so much so that it always shows up on my browser page as a “most used” tab! I am beyond grateful❤️
Thanks, Amanda – I love hearing what recipes you love! I’m so honored you are here and make so many of the recipes. Thank you!
Your sour cream banana bread recipe is my favorite recipe that I found on your site in 2025. I shared with a friend and she loves it too! Thank you!!!
Thanks for letting me know that, Jodi! We love that one, too!
The baked sweet and sour chicken was probably single handedly me haha! It’s a definite favorite around here! I make it at least monthly and share the recipe with link with everyone I know.
Ha, Jackie! I love that you love that recipe so much. Thanks for letting me know!
